At M&R Tree Service, we never know what we’ll find on the job—but one recent tree removal gave us a surprise none of us will forget.

It started like any other day. Our crew was removing a storm-damaged maple in a quiet residential neighborhood. As our climber was dismantling the upper limbs, he noticed something unusual tucked inside a small cavity near the top of the trunk. A baby squirrel, eyes barely open, clinging to warmth and life.
Without hesitation, our team paused the job. One of our experienced climbers gently brought the little guy down and wrapped him in an old sock for warmth. We contacted a local wildlife rehabilitation specialist, who agreed to take in the squirrel and provide the care he needed to survive and grow.
Today, that baby squirrel is safe and thriving in the hands of a licensed wildlife caregiver in . Once he’s big and healthy enough, he’ll be reintroduced to the wild right where he belongs. It is an honor to have team members who value and respect the very nature that we work in every day. What a proud day for M&R and thank you to Elvin Cruz on of our certified tree climbers for his heroic act of kindness!
It was a small moment in our day, but a powerful reminder: the work we do isn’t just about removing trees, It’s about respecting what lives in and around them.
Whether it’s protecting your home or protecting wildlife, M&R Tree Service approaches every job with care. Contact us today for safe, thoughtful tree removal you can trust.
